First edition, later printing.  xxiv, 1012pp, with black and white plate illustrations.  Black cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine.  Illustrated endpapers.  Large 8vo.  Volume is neat, clean, bright and tight throughout barring a previous owner’s name neatly inked (in purple) on the half title page.  In its original, unclipped dust jacket, just a tad bumped on extreme edges.  Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
