First edition, first impression. viii, 260pp plus 36 colour plates (botanical illustrations). In green buckram with gilt lettering front and spine, decorated with blind rules. Title page printed in red and black. 4to. Boards just a little bumped on edges, gently rounded on corners and spine ends. Some faint browning on endpapers, front hinge cracked, previous owner’s name inked on front free endpaper else neat, clean, bright and tigth. A very handsome, imposing volume, covers now protected in a stiff plastic wrap.
