Whirlaway: A Story of the Ages

First edition, first impression.  Plum cloth-covered boards with black lettering and central vignette on upper panel.  Blue and white decorated endpapers.  238pp, with colour plate frontispiece, eight further colour plate illustrations, some full page black white illustrations and line drawings in text.  8vo.  Cloth is worn, scuffed  and tired, a little rounded at corners and spine ends, and sunned around spine.  Text block edges browned. Lacks first and last black leaves.  The occasional small pen. stain or smudge mark on pages which are otherwise generally clean;  some minor signs of handling; the rear endpapers have been partially coloured in, quite nicely, and there’s a doodle of a dinosaur on the verso of he rear free endpaper.
