Angus McBride (died 2007) was a respected, established illustrator and artist, known best for his historical artwork and his work on J R R Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and role-playing games (his illustration of a Middle Earth wizard pondering a crystal ball became a viral meme). He has contributed to more than 70 Osprey titles over the years: this one is dedicated to his work.
