Each chapter individually numbered, illustrated with diagrams, figures etc.   Half bound in brown morocco over plum cloth-covered boards, with gilt lettering on the spine.  All edges speckled red.  Brown patterned endpapers.  8vo.  Rubbed all around spine and edges, cloth a little marked and worn.  Upper text block edge dust dulled.   There’s series of faint numbers stamped on the title but else internally neat. clean and tight.
