First edition, first impression. iv, 32pp, with numerous black and white illustrations and eleven in colour. Original laminated and illustrated stiff card covers. 4to. Some edge wear to card covers else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. Loosely laid is an enveloped typed and hand-signed letter from a Dr James Dickie to a James Bacon, dated 1979, discussing John Crosse’s next publication on the Thermopylae clipper and the compilation of a collection of photographs of model ships and clippers for (presumably) future publication – a charming, if not directly related – addition.
