First edition, first impression. 198pp, richly illustrated with numerous full colour plates and some monochrome drawings in text. Quarter bound in deep green cloth cover cream paper-covered boards with brown lettering on the upper panel and gilt-stamped titles on spine. Illustrated endpapers. Tall 4to. The titling on the spine is a little dull else the volume is neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. Houses in its original paper-covered slipcase with a tipped in detail colour illustration on the front panel. Slipcase is a little shelf worn and gently rubbed on edges.
