1st UK edition, 1st English language edition (preceding the US edition by a year, following publication in Switzerland in 1957). Unpaginated, circa 30 pp, with full page, colour illustrations throughout. In laminated card covers. Oblong 8vo. Covers worn, rubbed on corners, marked, linen over spine fraying at ends. Rubbed at edges. Internally toned at page edges, front hinge partially cracked, occasional small mark on pages, some signs of clean fingering. We would not usually offer a book in only fair condition but this is a hard to find title, with Hoffman’s illustrations and can be expensive. This copy may serve to fill a gap in a collection or trigger a childhood memory until a better copy can be sourced and afforded.
