First edition, first impression. 258pp, with occasional black and white drawings in text and a selection of musical examples. Jade cloth-covered boar with black lettering front and spine. 8vo. Cloth is faded, rubbed all round edges, corners, spine ends and joints, a little marked, with small crack and fraying at spine base. Text block edge slightly toned. Previous owner’s stamped and school stamp on a toned front free endpaper. The first page of the contents is partially torn away from the gutter and as a result sits a little offset from the main text block edge. Some minor signs of handling and reading throughout.

A now out of print and quite hard to find title.
