[1906]. [iv], 112, [4]pp, with 44 pen and ink full page sketch drawings. Red cloth boards with gilt lettering and decoration front and spine. Bevelled edges. Landscape 8vo. Cloth is heavily worn and rubbed, marked and indented, fraying at spine ends. Text block edges soft and tanned. Free endpapers heavily tanned and spotted., some spotting on first and last few pages, ‘Cranbrook, Kent’ neatly inked on the front paste down, else internally a little dull but clean and neat. Very slightly skewed.

Esam maps out the development of domestic architecture in Kent, focussing heavily on the unique regional styles of medieval manor houses, traditional Wealden houses and local large farmhouses.
