Three volume set presented together in a single slipcase. Twelfth printing (2006) of the 1977 Folio Society edition of the Lord of the Rings. With illustrations by Inghild Grathmer, drawn by Eric Fraser. Matching bindings of highly decorative green cloth-covered boards, with vignettes on upper panels and relief gilt titles on spines. Maps to endpapers. All three volumes in near fine condition – neat, clean, bright and tight throughout – barring a very short corner crease over the lower corner of the front free endpaper of The Return of the King. It the original maroon slipcase, gently shelf worn with a scattering of tiny white spot marks on the upper panel. A lovely set.
