The Lord of the Rings (Fellowship of the Ring; The Two Towers; The Return of the King)

Book club edition,  Reprint. 1200pp, with 50 full colour illustrations specially commissioned from the artist Alan Lee to commemorate the centenary of J R R Tolkien’s birth, and includes Tolkien’s maps of Middle Earth and appendices. In brown cloth boards with gilt motif on front and gilt lettering on spine. Fawn endpapers, red satin ribbon marker bound in.  8vo.  Cloth very slightly rounded at spine ends.  There’s a very mild scratch, not breaking cloth, on the upper panel.   Small white mark in upper corner of front free endpaper (where a previous pencil  price has been covered) else internally neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. Upper text block edge a little dust darkened.  In its original dust wrapper, somewhat bumped at extreme edges with a few minor indentations.  Dust jacket now protected in an archival quality Mylar wrapper fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
