First edition, first printing.  320pp, monochrome plate frontispiece with captioned tissue-guard and several further similiar illustrative plates, map, plan and occasional further illustrations in text. In publisher’s cloth binding, blind motif on front panel, titles on spine.  Deckled edges.  8vo.  Cloth a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends.  Upper text block edge dust darkened.  Previous owner’s name inked neatly on front free endpaper else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.

Volume is in two parts (1) The Narrative and (2) the Depositions of Eyewitnesses.  It addresses the period after the removal of the Romanov family to Tobolsk.  Wilton, a Times Correspondent, argues that the Russian Revolution was so much a native revolution, but a revolt financed by Germany.  Hard to find title.
