First edition, first impression. x, 135, 31pp, with colour plate frontispiece, further black and white plates and numerous maps, drawings etc in text. Green cloth-covered boards with black lettering front and spine. Top edge sprayed green. 8vo. Cloth is faded over spine and around edges, gently rubbed at corners and spine ends. Some spotting on plain edges and endpapers. Previous owner’s name neatly inked on front paste down, blind embossed stamp on front free endpaper, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.
