First edition, first impression. 72pp.  Quarter bound in canvas over paper-covered boards.   12mo.  Boards are worn, scuffed at edges with some small scattered markings, gently rounded at corners and spine ends.  An ex university library copy with usual markings on endpapers, annotations on title page and annotated stamp on the copyright page, and remnants of label over spine (no other library markings).  Paste downs are wavy and rippled, title page toned, and some minor aging throughout.  The first three leaves are misaligned, straining gutters and binding.

S K Patil was a former Congress leader from Maharashtra; a freedom fighter, journalist and lawyer.  A three time Member of Parliament for Bombay, he served as a minister in the governments of Nehru, Shastri and Indira Gandhi. This publication, from early in his career, came shortly after his release from imprisonment for activities related to the Quit India movement in 1942, led by Mahatma Gandhi.
