[1954] 220pp, with monochrome plate frontispiece and three further monochrome plate illustrations interleaved in text, all by Mary Gernat. Blue cloth-covered boards with dark blue lettering front and spine. Top edge strayed blue. 8vo. Cloth a little worn, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine and fade all round edges and over spine. Fore and lower text block edges a little dull. Lacks front free endpaper. Previous owner’s name and address messily on first blank page which has a two short closed tears at the top, else internally neat and clean.

Heather Muriel Price (1930-1972) authored at least seven children’s stories, most of which are tales of family adventure.
