Signed by the author on the front free endpaper, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A detailed history of the Surrey village of Claygate, with drawings, plans, prints and photographs, covering approximately the last 950 years. Two sides of typescript containing Harry Ashton’s notes and recollections of living in Claygate loosely laid in. Ashton was one of the contributors to Peeble’s History of Claygate.
