The Book of the Flower Fairies

Early omnibus edition [1927?] of Cicely Mary Barker’s Flower Fairies, containing Flower Fairies of the Summer, Flower Fairies of the Spring and Flower Fairies of the Autumn.  92pp plus 72 colour plate illustrations (collated and complete).  Green cloth-covered boards with bright gilt decorations and lettering.  Green endpapers.  8vo.  Cloth very slightly rounded at spine ends, minor signs of handling to endpapers only, else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.  In its original illustrated dust wrapper, rubbed at edges with some minor chipping and minor loss at spine ends, some marks and shelf wear.  Dust wrapper now protected in a  Mylar-style sleeve.

With 72 colour plates as called for in the 1927 first edition, but with green endpapers rather than the usual pick decorated ones, and a different vignette on the title page.  A lovely copy.
