First edition. 256pp, with monochrome plate illustrations. Red cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine. 8vo. Cloth is a little rubbed and pushed at spine ends, some very slight rubbing on edges. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring some pinkish staining at the base of the rear pastedown endpaper. In its original shelf worn and rubbed dust wrapper, chipped and creased on edges with minor loss at spine ends, some staining on lower edge on verso.
