First edition, later printing.  194pp.  Blue textured cloth-covered boards with silver titles on dark blue relief on spine. Pale blue endpapers. 12mo. Cloth a little faded on extreme edges. Previous owner’s name neatly inked on front paste down else volume is neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.  In its original dust wrapper, a little shelf worn and gently bumped on extreme edges.  

The Teach Yourself series of books began in 1938 and was published under the English Universities Press imprint until 1966. Well respected in particular for its language education and mathematics books, the series covers a broad range of topics. Originally published in hardback the series transitioned to paperback during the 1970s. The series has become collectible in its own right and a Concise Guide to Teach Yourself Books was published as early as 1958. There are several hundred titles in the series.
