Not dated but c1910. 120pp. Colour plate frontispiece and seven further colour plate illustrations all by F M B Baikie. Red cloth boards, with black lettering and decorations. Boards a little rubbed at edges in places, spine a tad sunned. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring two previous owner’s inscriptions on mildly tanned front endpaper and a clumsy repair to reattach the frontispiece. Eight classic tales from Don Quixote, retold for children by John Lang. Lovely, small vintage volume. This edition now hard to find (and not to be confused with the limp-covered, ‘Reading Together’ edition produced by the same publisher at the same time).
