First edition, first impression.  208pp, with monochrome plate frontispiece and seven further black and white plate illustrations interleaved. Green cloth-covered boards with black lettering front and spine.  12mo.  Cloth a little worn and faded, gently rubbed on extreme corners and on spine joints and ends, a few mild marks.  Text block edges a little foxed.  Endpapers tanned else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.

A record of the traditions and customs of the Shetland Islands written by a folklorist and Unst resident, as she began to notice some of the traditions fading away.  Very hard to find title.
