First edition.  294pp with half-tone plate frontispiece.  Red cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on spine.  8vo.  Cloth patchily faded, a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends.  Text block edges a little dust-darken.  Hint of toning in page margins, previous owner’s name in pencil on front free endpaper, a little spotting on title page.
