In a pictorial trade cloth binding, blue cloth illustrated front and spine, with gilt lettering. 8vo. Boards gently rubbed at edges, lightly rounded on spine ends, small nick in cloth at base of spine. Some mild spotting on text block edges. Mild toning on free endpapers, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. English writer and pacifist Theodora Wilson Wilson (1865 – 1941) developed a reputation ‘quaint’ novels which was blown apart in 1916 when she published her science fiction novel, The Last Weapon, A Vision, whose anti-war message led to its being banned. The Last Weapon was republished a few years ago but her earlier novels, such as this one, are now hard to find.
