First edition, first impression.  184pp.  In deep green cloth boards with gilt titles on spine. 12mo.  Cloth very slightly rounded at spine ends.  Minor spotting on endpapers else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.  In its original, illustrated, dust jacket, very slightly bumped at edges and a couple of rust marks on inner flaps.  Rosalee Bridgnorth, recently widowed, travels to Van Diemen’s Land in search of her convict brother with plans to help him escape from the terrors of the penal colony of Port Arthur.  But she is too late.  And in her fight for justice for her brother, she becomes involved in violence and, remarkably, love.
