Deckled fore and lower edge. 8vo. Cloth a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, one corner has minor bump, a little soiled. Free endpapers tanned, else internally neat, clean and tight. A shorter version of Lawrence’s masterpiece work, The Seven Pillars of Wisdom, a personal, detailed account of Lawrence’s experiences fighting the Turks in the Middle East. Many have questioned the historical accuracy of Lawrence’s telling but this is more about personal endeavour and endurance. Just about a very good copy.
