A book-bound portfolio of 136 photographs from Queen Alexandra’s collection of family photos; 90 of the images are printed in photogravure; the remaining 46 tipped in on strong green mount pages, with captioned tissue-guards. Portrait plate frontispiece, tissue-guarded, of Queen Alexandra. Fawn cloth-covered boards with green lettering front and spine. 4to. Cloth is soiled, gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spines, with some minor indentations, a little sunned and rubbed over spine. Text block edges spotted and soiled (occasionally affecting pages). Solid tanning on free endpapers, small crack at base of front hinge else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.

This volume, published to raise funds for the charities which Queen Alexandra supported, contains a large collection of photographs of the then Royal Family, some taken at formal events and others more intimate family at home shots, offering a behind the scenes glimpse of Royal life in the early years of the 20th century.
