Spine cover torn along length adjoining front cover; held on by spine heel; also sun faded. Corners bumped and cloth worn through in places. Lender’s label and small lender’s pocket on front paste down. Evidence of previous label on front free end paper. Lender’s stamps on title, copyright pages and verso of all plates. Very small 4to. An early, if somewhat quixotic, study of bookplates and their purposes, with 26 beautiful examples. With a handlist by E. Carrick.
