The Camden Town group, active from 1911 to 1913, was a group of English post-impressionist artists, who gathered frequently at the home of painter Walter Sickert (once held as a leading contender to the serial killer Jack the Ripper, although those allegations have since been largely dismissed). Other members of the group included Harold Gilman, Spencer Frederick Gore, Lucien Pissarro, Wyndham Lewis, Walter Bayes, and Augustus John.
