Complete in three volumes.  Fourth edition, first impression.  xvi, 370, 18pp; xvi, 371-684, 18pp; xvi, 685-1148, 18pp, with each volume having many tables, figures and charts in text.  All three volumes uniformly bound in green cloth-covered boards.  Large 8vos.  Ex reference library copies with stamp and the word ‘reference’ on the front free endpapers of each volume, with stamps repeated on half-title and preface pages.  Upper text block edges are a little dull and each volume has marks on the free endpapers from the tape used to seal the dust jacket protector.  All three volumes in original dust jackets, shelf worn and a little bumped at edges.  Dust jackets protected in clear film sleeves, taped to themselves and front paste downs.  The protectors themselves are a little shelf worn and have library labels on the spines.

A definitive and standard reference work providing summaries of data relating to metallurgy and metal physics.  This fourth edition has been revised and expanded from earlier issues.  Data is presented in a logical and structured fashion, accompanied by short monographs on specific topics.  This edition features new sections on the application of lasers in metallurgy and properties of elementary particles which did not appear in earlier editions.
