Carlo Carrà (1881 – 1966) was an Italian painter and a leading figure of the Futurist movement that flourished in Italy in the early part of the 20th century. He signed the Manifesto of Futurist Painters and 1910 and began a phase of painting that became he most popular and influential; in his later years his politics became more hard-line right, a political shift reflected in his artwork.
