xiv, 386pp, various black and white plates. Quarter bound in brown leather under green cloth-covered boards; gilt titles on spine; top text block edge gilt, remaining edges untrimmed. 4to. Sun-faded, 3cm closed tear in leather to spine head, rubbed bottom corners and spine ends; staining and bubbling to boards. Fore and bottom text block edges tanning. Endpapers starting to fox and tan; large inscription on front free endpaper; front hinge cracked and strained, volume quite loose; pages starting to age. Otherwise, internally neat, clean and tight, barring some occasional foxing.
