First English language edition, first impression (translated from the original Polish).  xiv, 526pp, with many tables, charts and figures in text.  Grey cloth-covered boards.  4to.  An ex- reference library copy with a stamp and Biro annotations on the front endpaper (no other library markings internally). Boards a little rounded at corners. Slight shadowing on text block edges.  The endpapers are marred by marks from the tape used on the dust wrapper protection, and there are minor signs of handling throughout else neat, clean, bright and tight internally.  Original illustrated dust jacket, rubbed on corners and spine ends, crumbling at extreme tips of a creased and discoloured spine.  Dust wrapper protected in a clear film sleeve, itself quite old and tatty (and could be replaced), taped to itself, and with a small label and some graininess at the base of the spine.

Originally published in Polish, a comprehensive handbook for designers, mechanical engineers and instrument makers working on fine mechanics, small-scale devices and scientific equipment from a historic high-point in mechanical engineering literature.  Highly specialised and long out of print, it remains relevant  and can be sought after by collectors, horologists and instrument makers seeking exact and detailed design formulas often not available in later literature.
