First edition, first printing.  154pp, copiously illustrated in full colour.  Grey cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on spine.  4to.  Cloth a little bruised at extreme spine ends.  Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original glossy dust wrapper, lightly bumped on extreme edges, rubbed at corners and spine ends, minor shelf wear.

David Carr, one of the most overlooked and neglected British artists of the 20th century.  This is a portfolio showcasing his work, preceded by an important essay exploring his work by Bryan Robertson who, as director of the Whitechapel Gallery, gave Carr’s work a wider audience and Ronald Alley, formerly of the Tate Gallery.
