First edition, first impression.  378pp, profusely illustrated with a mixture of full colour, coloured, monochrome and sepia illustrations, maps, etc.  Red cloth-covered boards with white lettering on the spine.  Decorated, coloured endpapers.  4to.  Volume is neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.  In its original glossy, illustrated dust jacket, not price clipped, just a tad bumped on extreme edges.  

Here is the history, told through headline-making stories of Singapore, from the moment it gained self-governing status in 1959, through the merger into the Malaysian Federation in the 1960s, and its subsequent separation to become the fully independent Republic of Singapore in the latter part of the 20th century.  A hard to find title.
