20th edition.  36pp booklet in stiff card wraps with yapped edges and gilt titles.  Red and black title page.  Tipped in frontispiece and line drawings in text.  8vo.  Covers are worn, rubbed at edges and rounding on corners.  Internally there’s a little, occasional foxing throughout and one leaf with a creased corner.

A collection of short snippets of humours stories and legends regarding Aberdeen, the Granite City.  According to the foreword in the book, the snippets were mostly collected from the annals of a society established to help Aberdonians tell stories against themselves, an exercise they found entertaining because their English neighbours were gullible enough to believe them.
