Cloth a little tired, lightly sunned over spine, gently rubbed at corners and spine ends. Text block edges a little spotted. Free endpapers toned, with small previous owner’s stamp on front free endpaper and inked gift inscription on half title; occasional minor damage to pages edges.

Brothers Edward and Walter Bache were both musicians – Edward an organists and composer and his younger brother Walter a leading pianist and conductor noted for his championing of Franz Liszt. Their memoirs, here, compiled by their sister.
