The first eight volumes in the Bromley Local History series, published between 1976 and 1988.  All are stapled booklets in stiff card covers of around 50pp each with black and white illustrations and line drawings in text.  8vos.  There’s a little rubbing to the edges of the covers in places, slight scuffing at spine ends, and a little shelf wear on places.  Internally all eight volumes are neat, clean, bright and tight.

Each volumes carries a selection of papers and essays on aspects of the history of the London Borough of Bromley, written by various local historians.  The first volume, for instance, has essays on the Holwood Estate, Keston; the Lady Margaret Hospital, Bromley; the History of Transport in Bromley and District; the Wells Family of Deptford and Bickley; Problems in the Cray and Ravensbourne Valleys, 1830; Walter Farr, MD; and The House that was on Camden Close, Chislehurst and its People.
