Undated but circa 1955. 126pp, with colour plate frontispiece, numerous drawings in text. Pictorial card covers with canvas over spine. Illustrated endpapers 4to. Boards moderately rubbed on edges and a little rounded on corners, with the occasional small rub and scuff on panels. Text block edges a little toned. Internally the very occasional small sign of handling else neat, clean, bright and tight.

A collection of short stories for younger readers from a variety of authors including Frank Richards (Winter Walk and Unexpected); Basil Story (The Tough Guys of Sport) and Charles Hamilton – aka Frank Richards – (£5000 Reward – A Story of the Islands) and several others. Charles Hamilton was an English writer, using several pen names, including Frank Richards, the one he used for the Greyfriars School stories featuring Billy Bunter.
