[1926]. 228pp, with colour plate frontispiece, coloured vignette on title page, and further monochrome and coloured full page illustrations interleaved in text. Paper-covered boards, with coloured illustration, red lettering front and spine. 8vo. Covers are heavily toned, rubbed and scuffed, rounded and bumped at corners and spine ends, faded over spine. Three previous owner’s inscriptions on front endpapers, one crossed out. Text block edges toned and spotted. Endpapers browned and spotted, otherwise generally neat and clean internally, barring a little softness to pages.

A lovely vintage children’s story with delightful illustrations, and now very hard to find.
