First edition, first impression. 192pp, with plentiful black and white illustrations and a handful in colour. Royal blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on spine. Blue endpapers. Heavy 4to. Cloth very slightly pushed in at the base of the spine. Upper text block edge dust spotted and dark. A previous price pencilled on the front free endpaper else neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket, not price clipped, a little shelf worn and slightly misfitting, lightly bumped on extreme edges. Matching leaflet containing a Price Guide to Britain’s Toy Soldiers, 1893-1932, dated August 1985, loosely laid in.
