Complete in four volumes. Volumes one and two are bound in blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine, with illustrated endpapers; colour illustrations throughout. Volumes three and four are bound in glazed pictorial boards, with illustrated endpapers and colour illustrations throughout. 4tos. Cloth boards a little tired, gently rubbed on corners and pine ends; volume one is a little cocked. Volumes three and four are slightly bruised at corners and spine ends, with covers a little dull and soiled. Upper text block edges dust dulled. Some minor signs of handling throughout all volumes; volume one has a gift inscription inked opposite the title page and a previous owner’s name on the title page. Volumes one and two complete with their original dust jackets, not price clipped, a little toned and rubbed on corners and edges.

Ward, Lock’s Arms and Armour series was described in Military Modelling as giving ‘a most comprehensive cross-section of uniforms from all over the world.
