A unique visual collection of the Grimm Brother’s fairy tales reimagined by award-winning artist and author, Shaun Tan: in place of traditionally styled illustrations, the volume includes some 75 photographs of sculptural art made from materials such as clay and papier-nache, paired with poetic extracts from one of the fairy tales collected by the Brothers Grimm, described by the publisher as ‘surreal, primal and often dark, capturing the eerie essence of the original, uncensored folklore’.  A stunning showcase of Tan’s talent both as an artist and as a storyteller.
