Two volumes, both reprints from the late 1980s. iv, 480pp, with a map; xii, 572pp, with monochrome frontispiece and further black and white illustrations interleaved in text. Both volumes in matching bindings of blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine. ‘The Legacy of Rome’ is a little toned and spotted on the text block edges and both have minor signs of handling and shelving. Both in their original matching dust jackets, neither price clipped (no price) with just a little shelf wear.

A pleasing if not perfect set.
