24pp stapled booklet in laminated stiff card covers, with some monochrome illustrations and map inside rear cover.  8vo.  A little gentle edge wear to card covers else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.

Pugin (died 1852), the great Gothic Revival architect and designer, visited Ramsgate several times during his short and hectic life.  He finally settled at The Grange, the house he created for his family in 1844.  In Pugin and Ramsgate, Rosemary Hill gives a vivid account of Pugin’s relationship with the town, the building of The Grange and his local friendships, at the same time giving a lively picture of a growing coastal resort that the great architect knew in the early decades of the 19th century.

We have many local history and local interest booklets, pamphlets and related materials in stock and can offer generous discounts to those ordering more than one item at a time.  Please inquire, or ask to compile a bespoke catalogue for you centred around your interests.
