A new edition. [xl], 288pp. In a later binding of brown cloth-covered boards. 8vo. Cloth is unevenly faded and a little marked, gently rounded on corners and spine ends, title label on spine chipped and crumbling. Text block edges a little toned. Three previous owner’s bookplates on the front endpaper, with a historical note tipped in. A hint of aging to pages but generally internally neat, clean and tight.

It is likely that there were three issues of The Clerical Guide between 1817 and 1829, and then this new edition published in 1836.
