Reprint. 206pp, with colour plate frontispiece, 15 further colour plate illustrations and numerous drawings and vignettes in text. Pictorial cloth-covered boards with black lettering front and spine. Colour illustrated endpapers. 8vo. Cloth a little rubbed and rounded at corners and ends of a lightly sunned spine. A little faint spotting on text block edges. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. In its original illustrated dust jacket, a little bumped at edges and slightly sunned over the spine. Dust jacket now presented in a Mylar-style protective clear film sleeve, fitted without the use of glues or tape.

A lovely vintage copy of this children’s classic, in gift-giving, heirloom quality but not too posh to be read with enthusiasm. All the illustration in this volume 0 including the endpapers and dust wrapper – are those of Sir John Tenniel, the classic illustrations widely associated with Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
