xii, 254, [4]pp, with folding colour plate frontispiece, one folding map and several monochrome plate illustrations.  Black cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine.  8vo.  Cloth a little tired and marked, gently rounded at corners and ends of a lightly sunned spine.  Text block edges toned and spotted.  Endpapers heavily tanned, with a previous owner’s name neatly inked on the front paste down, else internally clean and neat.  Binding a tad brittle.
