88pp stapled booklet with some black and white illustrations.  Laminated, illustrated stiff card covers.  8vo.  Covers are a little toned, especially around spine, gently rubbed in edges.  Text block edges a little softened and browned.  Internally neat, clean and tight.

Daisy Noakes’ autobiography covers her childhood years as one of a family of ten in Brighton and her working days in service in different parts of the town.  It takes the reader through the first third of the 20th century and gives insight into the life and experiences of a women brought up working class on the south coast of England.
