Twelve issues of the monthly magazine, The South African Angler, the Official Organ ot the South African Angling Union, The Natal Coast Angler’s Union, the Transvaal Angler’s Union, the Durban and Coast Angler’s Federation and the Northern Natal Angler’s Union, all published in 1949 and 1950. Volume 4, Nos. 5 – 12 (October 1949 to May 1950); Volume 5, No. 1 (June 1950); Volume 5, Nos. 4 and 5 (September and October 1950); and Vol 5, No. 7 (December 1950). All staple bound magazines with coloured paper-covers. 4tos. Covers are generally a little worn and rubbed around edges with some occasional light creasing and some oxidisation around staples. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring some minor signs of handling and use. Covers mostly remain bright and vivid.

A nice set reflective of angling history and activity in South Africa in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
